Accessibility Statement

ASun Star is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard, and we are actively working to close those gaps while applying best practices throughout the design, development, and content of this site.

What We've Done

• Semantic HTML for clear screen-reader navigation
• Keyboard navigability with visible focus indicators
• Alt text for all functional imagery
• Color contrast tested against WCAG AA standards
• Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion system preference, and a Stop motion setting of our own for visitors who cannot change that preference on their device
• Proper heading hierarchy and ARIA labels
• Text-resizable and zoomable without breaking layout, tested at every size our own control offers

Display Settings

The accessibility button on every page opens a small panel of display settings. You can enlarge the text, stop animation, choose between two levels of contrast, set line spacing and letter spacing separately, switch to a plainer typeface, and underline every link. The panel also lists the sections on the page you are reading so you can jump straight to one, and it lets you make the button itself larger or move it to the other side of the screen. Your choices are remembered on your device.

At the bottom of that panel is a link to report an accessibility problem. If something on this site did not work for you, that is the fastest way to tell us, and we would rather hear it than not.

It is worth saying plainly what this is not. It changes only how this site presents itself to you, in the same way a dark-mode switch does. It does not alter the page’s structure, it does not add or rewrite the labels that screen readers rely on, and it makes no claim to conformance on its own. It is not an accessibility overlay, and we would not add one: those products inject information the page never authored and are widely reported to interfere with the assistive technology they claim to support.

For text larger than our control offers, your browser’s own zoom goes further and this site is built to work with it.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following areas and are working to address them:

• Third-party embedded content (such as maps or forms) may not fully meet our accessibility standards, as we do not control its underlying code.
• Some downloadable PDF documents have not yet been remediated for full screen-reader compatibility.

If any of these areas prevents you from accessing information you need, please contact us using the details below and we will provide the content in an alternative format.

Ongoing Effort

We audit each new page for accessibility before publishing it, and we review existing pages as part of our regular maintenance. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time task.
