Types of Programming
Services designed around the life you want to live.
01
Day Habilitation
Our Day Habilitation program provides structured, meaningful opportunities for adults to build skills, explore interests, develop relationships, and become more independent.
Programming may include life skills, social development, communication, health and wellness, recreation, technology, creative activities, community experiences, and individualized goal development.
The goal isn't simply to fill the day.
It's to make the day meaningful.
02
Community Inclusion
The community is one of the best places to learn, practice skills, build relationships, and discover new interests.
Community-based experiences may include shopping, dining, recreation, fitness, volunteering, cultural activities, community events, transportation practice, and other activities based on an individual's goals and interests.
We help individuals become active participants in their communities, not simply visitors.
03
In-Home & Community Support
Sometimes the most important skills are learned where everyday life happens.
Individualized support may be provided at home and in the community to help adults strengthen daily living skills, communication, routines, decision-making, personal care, community navigation, safety awareness, and independence.
Support is based on the individual's needs and personal goals.
04
Employment & Vocational Support
Work can provide much more than a paycheck. It can create purpose, independence, confidence, relationships, and connection to the community.
ASun Star helps individuals explore employment interests, strengthen workplace skills, prepare for employment, and succeed in work environments.
Support may include:
Career exploration
Job readiness
Resume and interview preparation
Workplace communication
Job coaching
Developing appropriate workplace behaviors
Learning job responsibilities
Building independence on the job
Maintaining successful employment
05
Respite & Family Support
Caregivers need support too.
Respite services provide families and caregivers with temporary relief while ensuring their loved one receives safe, individualized, and meaningful support.
Depending on the individual's needs and authorized services, respite may occur in the home or another approved setting.
06
Behavioral & Wellness Support
Emotional and behavioral wellness are important parts of overall quality of life.
Depending on individual needs, program eligibility, and location, ASun Star may provide or coordinate behavioral and mental health services to help individuals develop coping strategies, strengthen emotional regulation, address behavioral concerns, and improve overall well-being.
07

For another, it might mean getting a job.
It could mean learning to use transportation, managing money, communicating a choice, making a new friend, joining a community activity, or completing a morning routine with less assistance.
