Autism, Neurodivergent & Lifespan Disability Supports
Possibilities for every life.

Support for every stage. Possibilities for every life.

Every person experiences the world differently, and support should reflect the individual, not simply a diagnosis.

ASun Star provides individualized services for children, adolescents, and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), and other neurodevelopmental differences.

From early skill development and ABA to life skills, employment, community participation, behavioral support, and adult services, we help individuals build on their strengths and work toward greater independence, connection, confidence, and quality of life.

What We Offer

Support that evolves throughout life.

01

ABA & Behavioral Support

Our individualized behavioral services help children and adolescents develop meaningful skills related to communication, social interaction, learning, behavior, independence, and everyday life.

Services may include assessment, individualized treatment planning, one-on-one ABA therapy, center-based services, caregiver training, social development, and support across home, school, and community settings based on program eligibility.

Our focus is not simply on changing behavior.

It's helping individuals develop skills that make everyday life more successful.

02

Social, Communication & Life Skills

Everyday skills create opportunities for greater independence.

Programming may focus on communication, relationships, social awareness, problem-solving, self-care, meal preparation, money skills, household responsibilities, safety, transportation, community navigation, and other practical skills based on the individual's age and goals.

03

Children, Teen & Transition-Age Programs

Growing up brings new expectations, environments, and responsibilities.

ASun Star provides structured programs that help children and adolescents strengthen social, emotional, behavioral, recreational, and independent living skills.

As young people approach adulthood, support can increasingly focus on:

We help families think beyond the next school year and begin preparing for the next stage of life.

  • Self-advocacy
  • Life skills
  • Employment readiness
  • Community navigation
  • Healthy relationships
  • Decision-making
  • Personal responsibility
  • Increasing independence
  • Transitioning into adult services
04

Adult Day & Community Supports

Adulthood should include opportunities for choice, purpose, relationships, learning, and meaningful participation.

Our adult programs may include Day Habilitation, community-based activities, skill development, recreation, health and wellness, social opportunities, volunteering, and other individualized experiences.

Programs are designed around what matters to the person, not simply filling their day.

05

Employment & Vocational Support

Everyone deserves the opportunity to explore what meaningful work might look like for them.

ASun Star supports individuals in identifying interests, preparing for employment, developing workplace skills, navigating interviews, learning job responsibilities, communicating effectively at work, and increasing independence in employment settings.

Support may include job readiness, supported employment, and job coaching based on individual eligibility and program availability.

06

In-Home & Community Support

Some of life's most important skills are learned outside of a program building.

Individualized support may take place in the home or community and focus on daily routines, self-care, communication, safety, decision-making, community participation, relationships, and increasing independence.

We help individuals practice skills where life actually happens.

07

Respite & Family Support

Supporting an individual often means supporting the people around them.

ASun Star works with families and caregivers through education, caregiver training, collaboration, resources, and respite services when available and authorized.

Our goal is to strengthen the individual's support system while recognizing the needs of the family as a whole.

Build a meaningful life.

Independence Isn't One Thing

It looks different for everyone.

Preparing breakfast.

Communicating a choice.

Taking public transportation.

Making a friend.

Working a few hours each week.

Managing money.

Joining a community activity.

Completing a morning routine.

Advocating for what you need.

Or making more decisions about your own life.

Progress should be measured against the individual's goals, not someone else's expectations.

  • Independence might mean:

Our Approach

See the person before the diagnosis.

Autism, intellectual disability, developmental disability, or neurodivergence may help describe someone's needs, but they do not define who that person is.

What are their strengths? What do they enjoy? What matters to them?Where do they want more independence? What support would make everyday life better?

Then we build from there.

Our approach is person-centered, strength-based, trauma-informed, evidence-based, inclusive, and focused on meaningful quality-of-life outcomes.

We collaborate with individuals, families, caregivers, schools, support coordinators, and other members of the person's team when appropriate.

  • We start with the individual:

One Person. Many Stages. One Connected Approach.

Families shouldn't have to start over every time their loved one reaches a new stage of life.

ASun Star's range of services allows us to think beyond one program, one age, or one immediate need.

A child receiving developmental or behavioral support today may eventually need social programming, transition support, employment preparation, community services, or adult supports tomorrow.

Our goal is to help individuals and families prepare for what's next while making the most of where they are today.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

Start with the person, not the program.

You don't need to know the name of a service, waiver, or funding program before reaching out.

What are they good at?What do they enjoy?Where do they need support? What would they like to do more independently? What would make everyday life better?

We'll help you explore the services and programs that may support those goals.
