What We Offer

More than one program. A community of support.

01

After-School Programs

A structured and engaging place for children to continue learning and growing after the school day ends.

Programs may include homework and academic support, STEAM activities, recreation, social-emotional learning, life skills, group activities, creative experiences, and opportunities to build friendships.

Our goal is to make after-school time purposeful, engaging, and fun.

02

Saturday & Summer Programs

Weekends and summer can provide some of the best opportunities for children to explore new interests, practice skills, and build relationships.

Our Saturday and summer programs combine structured activities, recreation, community experiences, skill development, creativity, and social engagement.

Programs are designed to provide more than supervision, they give young people a place to participate, discover, connect, and grow.

03

Youth Groups & Skill-Building

Sometimes children learn best alongside other children experiencing similar challenges.

Groups give young people an opportunity to learn new skills and practice them with peers in a supportive environment.

  • Our structured youth groups may focus on:
  • Social skills
  • Anger management
  • Emotional regulation
  • Life skills
  • Communication
  • Self-esteem and confidence
  • Healthy relationships
  • Problem-solving
  • Coping skills
  • Leadership and decision-making
04

Mental Health, Substance Use Counseling and Coaching Support

Children and adolescents may experience anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, family changes, peer challenges, school difficulties, grief, stress, or other emotional concerns.

ASun Star provides age-appropriate mental health and substance use services that may include individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, psychiatric services, and other behavioral health supports.

We work with the young person while also recognizing the important role of families, caregivers, schools, and other members of their support system.

05

ABA & Developmental Support

For children and adolescents who need additional behavioral or developmental support, ASun Star offers individualized ABA services focused on communication, social interaction, learning, behavior, independence, and everyday living skills.

Services may be provided in our centers and, depending on the program and eligibility, at home, in school, or within the community.

06

School & Community-Based Support

Children don't experience challenges in only one place.

That's why many ASun Star services extend beyond our centers. Depending on the program, services may be delivered in schools, homes, and community settings.

Working across environments allows us to collaborate with families, educators, caregivers, and other professionals while helping young people use their skills in real-life situations.

07

In-Home/ Community-based Programming (4-21)

These programs empower children and adolescents to build behavioral, social, emotional, independent living, and vocational skills through individualized supports delivered where they live, learn, and grow. Services include: IIC, BA, Mentoring, Job Coach, Individual Support Services (ISS)

More Than Keeping Kids Busy

Every experience should have a purpose.

Whether a child comes to ASun Star for therapy, an after-school program, a Saturday group, summer programming, ABA, or another service, we want them to gain something meaningful from the experience.

Making a friend.Learning to communicate a need.Completing homework independently.Managing frustration differently.Trying something new.Learning a life skill.Discovering a talent.Building confidence.Or simply finding a place where they feel like they belong.

Those moments matter.

Our Approach

See the child. Build on their strengths.

We don't believe children should be defined by a diagnosis, behavior, disability, or difficult moment.

Our programs are strength-based, trauma-informed, evidence-based, inclusive, and centered around the individual needs of each child and family.

Our multidisciplinary team allows us to look at the whole child, behavioral health, development, relationships, family, school, community, interests, strengths, and goals.

Because helping a child thrive means looking at more than one part of their life.

Not Sure Which Program Fits?

Start with your child, not a program name.

You don't need to know whether your child needs counseling, ABA, an after-school program, a social skills group, Saturday programming, summer activities, or another service before contacting us.

Tell us about your child, their strengths, what you're noticing, what they enjoy, and where they may need some additional support.

We'll help you explore the programs that may be the right fit.
